Une envie d'évasion en semaine....

J'adore le couscous. Oui, c'est normal, j'ai l'habitude de manger ce plat traditionnel depuis ma plus tendre enfance. Je fais rarement une infidélité à celui cuisiné par ma mère mais....

Nous allons donc au restaurant "Le Touareg"

I love couscous. yes, it's normal, I use to eat that traditional dish since I was a young girl. I rarely try another that the one cooked by my mother but....

Les plats sont délicieux et me rappellent plein de saveurs. J'ai choisi la brick au poulet en entrée et le couscous en plat.

C'est délicieux et plein de légumes:

The dishes are tasty and remind me plenty of flavors. I have chossen the chicken brick as starter and the couscous as main course.

And in the end, it'is impossible to leave without a mint tea....

Un endroit recommandé pour la qualité de sa cuisine mais aussi pour le cadre qui nous permet, le temps d'une soirée, de s'évader un peu de notre routine journalière.

Oui, j'ai vu Londres sous le soleil cet été!

C'est la première fois après plusieurs voyages donc je pense que c'est suffisant pour en faire un article et bien entendu poster quelques photos!

Une ville est très différente quand il fait chaud et que le soleil brille. Je vous laisse donc jeter un oeil à mes photos des lieux les plus iconiques (et touristiques) de la capitale:

It's the first time after many travels there so I think it'is enough just to have an article about it and of course photos!

Focus sur Covent Garden maintenant!

J'ai été dans ce quartier il y a longtemps et j'ai gardé un souvenir agréable. Je me suis rappelée de cet endroit après avoir retrouvé un collier que j'avais acheté là.

Pour le lunch, nous avons choisi "Joe's Southern Kitchen and bar". Nous avons été attiré par la grande fenêtre et le menu avec poulet, frites, hamburgers,.... Cela peut être au goût de tous quand nous sommes en groupe!

Premièrement, le restaurant: une décoration intimiste avec une touche de vintage. 

For the lunch, we have choosen "Joe's Southern Kitchen and Bar". We were attracted by the big window and the menu with chicken, fries, hamburgers,... it can be the taste of all when you'are with groups!

Nous avons choisi différents plats dans la partie "Sides and sauces" du menu.  Ce n'était pas très cher et nous avions assez même si vous avez très faim. J'ai particulièrement aimé: Mac'n'cheese et South and fied chicken piece. 

Atmosphère agréable, bonne musique, un personnel souriant et des plats à partager avec des amis!

We have choosen differents dishes in the "Sides and sauces" part of the menu. It was not very expensive and we had enough to eat even if you are realy hungry. I have particularly loved: Mac'n'cheese and South and fied chicken piece. 

Lovely atmosphere, good music, friendly staff and food to share with friends!

Je reviendrai certainement à Londres pour visiter une autre partie de la ville, chaque quartier ayant un style différent. A bientôt Londres!

I will certainly come back in London to visit another part of the city, each quarter has a different style. See you soon London!

Taste of Tuscany / Florence / Italy

J'aime l'Italie depuis mon premier voyage à Rome il y a des années. Enfin, je l'aimais déjà avant même d'y aller pour: cuisine, art, mode, musique,.... Je ne ferai pas la liste de tout ce qui est beau, intéressant ou encore à découvrir en Italie, on en a pour plusieurs semaines!

Cet été, c'était Florence en Toscane donc :-)

C'est typique, c'est beau, c'est la Toscane et on sent déjà l'huile d'olive qui remonte de la cuisine (huile magique en Toscane que vous pouvez goûter avec du pain). Alors, pas besoin de milliers de mots: photos! Voici la vue de la terrasse de l'hôtel en arrivant....

I love Italy since my first travel in Roma years ago. I loved already Italy before to have been: cooking, art, fashion, music,... I will not make a list of all i can find beautiful, interesting or to discover in Italy, we will still be at it in some weeks!

This summer, it was Florence, Tuscany :-)

It'is typical, it's beautiful, it's Tuscany and we already smell the olive oil (magical oil in Tuscany that you can taste with slices of bread). So, no need of thousands words: photos! Here is the view from the roof of the hotel:

Mais Florence, c'est aussi une culture immense: les Médicis, les magnifiques églises, les grands artistes de la Renaissance,....

Stendhal a même donné son nom à un syndrome suite à son expérience dans la ville. La vue de la beauté et l'art de Florence a provoqué des hallucinations, l’accélération de son rythme cardiaque et des vertiges.

Il ne faut même pas rentrer dans l'un des nombreux musées et autres palais pour le réaliser, la ville est un musée à ciel ouvert:


But Florence, it's an impressive culture: Medicis, beautiful churches, famous Renaissance artists,...

Stendhal has even given his name to a syndrom following his experience in the city. The view of the beauty and art of Florence has caused hallucinations, rapid heartbeat and dizziness.

You don't even have to enter one of the many museums and other palaces to notice it, the city is a open-air museum:

La visite du Palazzo Vecchio est un must.... Il est aujourd'hui l'hôtel de ville de la ville. Les florentins ont décidé de le construire en 1299 pour être le siège du Gouvernement. C'était aussi un moyen de montrer le pouvoir et l'art de la ville:

The visit of Palazzo Vecchio is a must.... It'is today the town hall of Florence. People of Florence have decided to build it in 1299 to be the location of the Government. It was also a way to show the power and the art of the city:

Il y a beaucoup de musées à Florence. Quand on vient la première fois, nous choisissons donc de faire le plus connu et grand qui est Uffizi Gallery ( Galerie des Offices). Ce musée détient un grand nombre des chefs d'œuvres d'Italie.

J'avais personnellement un objectif précis en tête: voir les tableaux de Botticelli, mon peintre préféré. Et voilà, j'ai vu les tableaux " La naissance de Venus" ou encore "Le Printemps" en vrai:

Because there are many museums in the city, you must choose when it'is the first time you come. So, you begin with the most famous: Uffizi Gallery. You can find in the musuem some of the most important italian masterpieces.

I had personaly a specific aim in my mind: to see the paintings of Botticelli, my favourite painter. And there, I have seen " The birth of Venus" and "The Spring" in real:

Pour manger, bien entendu, nous sommes en Italie donc, c'est bon. J'ai retenu 2 adresses:

-  "Les meilleurs sandwichs de Florence". C'est ainsi que beaucoup présente "All' Antico Vinaio". Vous verrez d'ailleurs le monde qui attend devant pour en avoir un:


For eating, of course, we are in Italy, so it's good. I have kept 2 adresses:

- "The best sandwiches of Florence". it'is like that that many presents "All'Antico Vinaio". You will see in fact the crowd waiting in front to have one:

- Si vous allez au Jardin Boboli, vous pouvez aller manger à prix tout doux chez "Mamma Gina" (c'était bon et j'ai même pas pensé à prendre une photo, c'est dire!)

Oh, j'ai aussi mangé des glaces qui était tellement grandes que je me disais que cela devait être un repas complet et pas juste un dessert. Et des candy shops :-)

- If you go to Boboli Garden, you can eat at a good price: "Mamma Gina" ( it was tasty and I have don't thought to take a photo!)

Oh, I have eaten too ice-creams so big that I was thinking tha it was a mistake because it was not just a dessert but a complete meal. And the candy shops :-)

En conclusion, ce n'était pas mon premier voyage en Italie et cela ne sera pas le dernier....
